NOTL Writers' Circle
What happens when a diverse group of writers—from novices to published authors—get together once a month? Peer critique, support, fun, and some lively debate.
Since 2013, locals seeking encouragement on their writing journey have turned to the Writers’ Circle to share fiction and non-fiction alike.
What our writers write
In our group we have creators of short stories, poetry, and novels, working across various genres: sci-fi, mystery, romance, children’s lit, memoir, history and more. Never been a fan of dystopia? Prepare to have your mind blown. Never read comic fantasy? Sit back and enjoy. Think poetry has to rhyme? Well, sometimes it does.
A diverse mix
Adding to a core group of members, newcomers to Niagara-on-the-Lake are welcome, as are those who discover us at local book fairs and launches, or read about us in the paper and on social media. Students, teachers, business owners, working professionals and retirees make for a healthy mix of perspectives—and keep things interesting!
